What is hipsterette?
Hipsterette is a lifestyle blog for the 18-20something set. Hipsterettes are young, hip, and have carefully cultivated taste in fashion and music. Hipsterette focuses on the areas of fashion, music, current events, personal development, and women's issues as they relate to the young urban women we write for.

Who is behind all this?
My name is Melissa-Leigh, and I am a boston-born writer. I am currently a student studying writing. If you'd like to contact me with questions or free-lance writing projects, please contact me at Melissa-Leigh (at) hipsterette (dot) com.

What are your policies?
On commenting:
All comments must be constructive, on-topic, refrain from excessive profanity, and not link to any sites deemed offensive or pornographic in nature. Comments not meeting these criteria will be removed at my discretion.
On product endorsement:
I only endorse products I would use myself. That being said, if you would like to send me something you think I might like, contact me (Melissa-Leigh at hipsterette dot com) and I would be happy to provide you an address. While I appreciate the generosity, unless the product is something I truly like and enjoy myself, I will not link to it or review it in my blog. This prevents a conflict of interest.
On linking:
I link at my discretion to other blogs, friends, and sources. If you have a link you think I might like, you are welcome to send it. I don't really like people begging for link-backs, however. I'd rather just look at your content and genuinely enjoy and endorse it than have my arm twisted into doing so.
On privacy
No readers or email-ers personal information is shared with any third party, ever.
On contributions:
I always love to read what other people have to say. If you'd like an article to appear in hipsterette, email it to me for consideration. At this time, article publishing on hipsterette is unpaid, meaning you do it out of the joy of having your work posted! We are not yet commissioning content.
